Villa Valle

Villa Valle

It is the most important villa in Valdagno both for its artistic value and for its imposing size and planning.
Built at the end of the 17th century, planned by the paduan architect Girolamo Frigimelica Roberti, it boasts off a magnificent salon with openings crossing the building from side to side, according to the typical planning of the villa veneta (the venetian villa). Its height is like a two-stored one. Once its elegance was renown all over the Venetian.

Nowadays Villa Valle is the seat of the “Biblioteca e Galleria Civica” (the Library and the Civic Gallery), both belonging to the “Centro Comunale Marzotto”, as well as site of several cultural, artistic and literary events organized by the City Hall and by the numerous associations from Valdagno. At present, the Library is provided with around 55.000 volumes but it enables the visitors to take advantage of a virtual library made up of 300.000 books by exchanging them through a twice a week forwarding library service. Here you can also consult the photographic archive of the Great War.

It is possible to make a reservation for guided tours of the Villa. For further information please write to:associazione@provaldagno.com
