WHO WE ARE
Provaldagno Association
We are an Association of promotion of our territory and we always do our best to make the most of its resources and traditions.
We have been operating since 1902 and we are part of UNPLI(the Italian National Unity of Proloco) and of the Consorzio Serenissima Agno Chiampo.
Through such events as Celebrations, Feasts and cultural walks, not just in the town center but in the “Città dell’Armonia” (created by Gaetano Marzotto), as well as in the surrounding “contrade” (country lanes), we organize activities which are to promote tourism together with the naturalistic, cultural, historical and social resources of our territory.
2023 Prize awarded to ProValdagno for the steady and diligent dedication in spreading the values and traditions of our territory.

A little of our history.
In 1902 the lawyer Pompeo Sartori “celebrated” the appointment of a “Committee ProValdagno”born in order to organize celebrations and other events with the aim of promoting a wider knowledge of Valdagno and its territory. The date of the 28th September 1902, as shown on the front page of the one issue of the newspaper “L’Agno”corresponds with the one on which Comita ProValdagno was appointed.
You can read in the Costitutive Record:
“Every good citizen must feel glad for the appointment in our town of a ProValdagno Committee, composed of well- deserving citizens, who, with the praiseworthy intent to welcome and get together people from Brennero, have them admire our art “miracles”created by the genius of our people and the beauties of our territory”.
The first Regent/Referent of the Committee in 1902 was Alessandro Marzotto, followed by Givanni Battista Negri Bevilacqua ,first President of ProValdagno in the years 1902/1903.
Since the foundation of “ProValdagno”several Presidents have followed except for the period from 1926 to 1945 since every committee,association or else not adherent to Fascism and therefore considered anti-fascist was either suspended or cancelled.
The Presidents, together with several Councellors of the Director showed willing to put their love for Valdagno and their skills to spread up the values and the traditions of its territory.
The present President(the 25th in order) is Emanuela Perin, in charge since 2013.
Our activities
The main events we organize together with the Municipality of Valdagno are the Feast of Maresina and Festa dell’Agricoltura (the Feast of Agriculture)while we organize the “Festa d’Autunno” (the Feast of Autumn) ourselves.All the year long we also plan some itinerant events in order to show off and have people enjoy the typical features of the many “contrade” (country lanes), more than 200 microcosmos on the hills surrounding the centre of Valdagno. Not to be forgotten the “Pane e latte”, the “Festa della Trebbiatura” (the Feast of the threshing), the “Mola” (the grindstone) to extract the nut oil and so on.
We even organize cultural walks called “Assaggi d’arte” (tastes of art) to highlight the artistic heritage of our centre and develop in our citizens a feeling of pride and belonging.
Through the years we have “woven”relationships with several businesses “valdagnesi” in order to provide a further value to our activities, under a cultural, social, sports and musical point of view, such as the Cooperative “Il Cerchio”, the local choirs, Bike trekking, Polisportiva.
We are happy to support with our patronage some initiatives which promote worthy events aimed at
improving and spreading the knowledge of and the love for our territory, following a specific request by email.
